Dear Chaparral Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the staff, I would like to welcome you to Chaparral Middle School. Chaparral Middle School is a high-powered school that prides itself on putting a focus on each individual student every day. Our goal is to provide a strong overall experience for our students that includes a variety of academic offerings catering to multiple learning styles. In addition, we offer a powerful student activities program through our Leadership and ASB, complemented by numerous student clubs, as well as strong technology, arts, and athletics programs.

Each year, Chaparral students are promoted to high school ready to take on the many challenges that face them. They can do this due to the work ethic learned while at Chaparral. Our accomplishments are evident in many separate areas; in our numerous arts accolades, our award winning academic programs, through athletic championships, and most recently in our latest API achievements. We are extremely excited to boast an API of 921, which is certainly a testament to the hard work of the students, staff and community.

As we begin the 2011-12 school year, we are committed to reaching “the next level”. Despite our successes, we realize that there is still work to be done. Hence, as a learning community, we will strive to improve. Please join the staff at Chaparral Middle School as we focus on continued improvement by challenging yourself to look for areas of personal growth and pushing forward along with us.
