The greatest factors in success are. . .
showing-up prepared and making your best effort.
You determine your success!

Welcome to the 2010-11 school year. I have had the good fortune to teach at Chaparral for over twenty years, I began my career across the district at Morris Elementary. After returning to college to earn a supplemental science credential, I transferred to Chaparral to teach. Because I had completed a Master’s Degree in the application of technology in education the principal, Roger Skinner, asked me to assist in the design and construction of the Chaparral Community Club Computer Lab. Eleven years, two more computer labs, and five principals later I still look forward to teaching Chaparral students. I hope that each of you have as good a year as I have planned.
With of the exception of Home Work, all assignments must be completed in class. The turn-in dates for in-class assignments are flexible. In-class assignments may be turned in for full credit until October 15, 2010. Assignments that are missing at the time of a progress report or report card will be averaged as a zero. If after a progress report but prior to October 15th assignments are turned they will be counted for the full score earned.
No work that is assigned prior to October 15th will be accepted the last week of class.
I will be available Wednesdays after school from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. so that students may work on unfinished assignments. The only exception will be if Wednesday happens to be a B-4 day; as it is October 13th. Students must have parent permission for after-school computer lab time.
