Please create a google doc on the google classroom assignment 
Write a 1 paragraph, 5-6 sentence, description of which method for selecting political and government leaders is better, in your opinion: Chinese civil service exams, or Mongol method of choosing foreigners and close friends. 


Then, because both methods used the civil service exams, create at least 5 sample questions with an explanation for each question of why you chose that question and how it relates to leadership. (2 sentence minimum explanation for questions)

Use examples of failure and success from TCI to aid your explanation of leadership selection.

With your group create a powerpoint presentation on your assigned topic. Use TCI and any other resource besides wikipedia for your information. 


Each student will contribute to the research, writing, and design of this project. All decisions are approved by each student in the group.


Make sure you have pictures, bullet points for reference (no paragraphs), you may use notes while presenting, and ensure that it is organized. At the end of your presentations input the questions on TCI or create your own questions to facilitate essential questioning at the end of the presentation.

create a powerpoint (google Slides) on 1 of 10 subjects from Chapter 10 on TCI sections 1-9, and the tenth group creates a summary powerpoint. All groups must choose a different subject  work as table groups, not self chosen groups. The presentations must include appropriate images according to the religion of Islam, meaning no images of Muhammad or his family. Minimum slides 4. 

Answer questions 2 and 3 after reading this section.  Do not do question 1

Read Lesson 4 section 2 - no questions to be answered.  
Read Lesson 4 section 3 - answer questions 1 and 2

Read section 1 of lesson 4 and answer all three questions.


Your test on Lesson 3 (with a tad bit on Lesson 1) has been moved to Monday 9/13.

The Lesson 3 Lesson Game has been assigned to you in TCI.  You will find it under the "assignments" section found on the far left, or you can go directly to the lesson games section to find lesson 3.

Read Section 1: Answer question 1 only.   Do the flowchart, not the map.  Please recall that I will (almost) never ask you to do map work online.  We will do that on paper.

Be sure to do the map work AND answer the necessary questions on 1-8.  You do not have to do 9, 10, or 11.
