Period 6 Assignments

 

You will need to send me an email, using the following criteria:

Email subject line must begin with the words "Extra Credit"

The content of your email must include your name, your three digit number, and what BrainPop or Flocabulary item(s) you would like for me to assign to you.  

As soon as I assign you the requested material, I will email you back to let you know that you're ready to go.  Remember, the topics you choose from (at either site) must be on material we have studied this year...or will study by the end of the year.  Look at the TCI/History Alive table of contents for guidance.

 

 

Read the introduction to Ch. 21 by Wednesday.

Any and all work (late, absent, extra credit) is due by THIS FRIDAY. No exceptions.

 

For Wednesday's night's assignment (due Friday), choose TWO of the following sections to complete:

Vocabulary must be turned in to me in the morning if you are one of the students who will be off-campus on a field-trip.  If I am not in my room, you can slide it under the door, or ask that it be put into my mailbox by one of the Office Assistants.

All of Chapter 19 should be completed (NOT including the lesson game).

Question 1 of each section (no illustrations required).

19.3 and 19.4, question 1 for each (no illustrations needed).

Remember that your chapter 19 vocabulary is due tomorrow.

If you did not take the Ch. 13 quiz today, you will do so tomorrow.

As you define "neutrality" do not use images for Net Neutrality.  Look at "Monroe Neutrality" to get some images that are more relevant to our definition.

The balance of the time will be spent on grading what has yet to be graded in chapter 9 and moving onward in chapter 9 so as to be prepared for an exam next week.

1) Review the Bill of Rights.  Know what each of the 10 amendments state.

 

2) If your class has not yet graded 9.1, you will the next time we are together.  Are you ready with your quality answers?

 

3) If you have been at camp, do not panic about the upcoming benchmark exam.  I will work with you on this.  For those who did not attend camp, you will be looking at the Shanti and Hannah story as part of your benchmark when I see you next.

 

4) Do you need to complete some part of 10.2 that you didn't have done for today??

Tonight, your only new homework is to complete any section of Lesson 5 that you have not yet completed.  This is not a new assignment; anything you have not yet completed was already due on a previous date.

Remember, there will be a test next Monday/Tuesday on Lesson 5.

I have provided the links for the Kahoot quizzes created by periods 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6.  If you don't see your question, check to see if I wrote you a  personal note in Google Classroom for this assignment..  Perhaps your question didn't meet the requirement?  Perhaps you didn't provide the answer to your question?  Maybe there is another issue?  Please check Google Classroom to see if I wrote to you.

 

 

 

 

1) ALL FOUR questions need to be completed for Lesson 4: Sections 2 through 8....except, you do not have to do question 3 for section 8 (the question where you are being instructed to illustrate the answer).

 

2) Some of you still owe parent signatures for the Ch.2/Ch. 3 exam.  It is due by Friday.

 

3) Complete the multiple choice (Kahoot style) question in Google Classroom. 

 

4) Chapter 4 exam is next week.

Fix/tidy up the sections you did in class.  Do not go on to other sections that you did not start in class!

 

For the sections you did visit, be sure to complete all four questions.  For section 8, you need not do the question requiring you to illustrate on the computer.  

 

PERIODS 4 & 6:  If you earned a score less than 70% on your chapter 2 and chapter 3 exam, you have until Friday to return a signed exam.

 

Your Chapter 4 test will be next week!

Read the Introduction and the first section of Lesson 4.  

Remember, tomorrow (9/27) is the last day to bring in the canned foods for the 9/11 service project if you intend on participating.

 

Your chapter 4 vocabulary is due when I see you next in class.  I will be uploading it to Google Classroom, too, in the event that you misplace your copy and need another.

 

• For those who did not bring vocabulary today, remember to bring it on TOMORROW for partial credit. 
• There will not be any further class time dedicated to the creation of your poster which is due on FRIDAY.
• Test on Chapters 2 and 3 will be next Wednesday the 26th.
• Don't forget our 9/11 Service Project.

Your spoke of the colony "wheel" AND one other spoke must be completed by the time you are next in class.  This might mean you talk with a classmate outside of class time to get their answer about your shared colony.  

 

Complete Lesson 2 Section 5.

You need to have completed Lesson 2, Sections 2, 3, and 4 by the next time I see you.

You can get ahead and do lesson 5 if you wish.  It will be assigned soon.

Lesson 2, Section 2 AND Section 3.  Do not do the problems that ask you to illustrate your answer (this is usually question #2, but not always).  Be sure that you are using all of the required terms in your answers.

We will be finishing the correcting of our maps on Wednesday.  You are permitted to revise any answers on the states we have not yet corrected and/or correct any errors you have on the cities.  

 

Remember, your exam will be on Thursday or Friday of this week.  State names and locations only.

Political Map of the United States - Attached is a copy of the instructions and a blank map.  You may print another map if you need to.

Map is due on the first day I see you next week.

Your map exam will either be on Thursday or Friday, depending upon when I have you in class.

Class Syllabus Signatures - parent and student signature needed on the classroom syllabus.  Turn in by Thursday/Friday depending on which day you have my class.
