Tardy/Truancy

 

Our students are expected to be in class, on time.  They should enter the classroom after the first bell and will be marked "tardy" if they are not in their seat by the final bell.

 

If a student is late to school, he/she must report to the School Office, for an admittance slip.

 

Excused Tardies – If the tardy is due to illness, or a medical appointment, he/she must bring a note from a parent or doctor.

 

Unexcused Tardies – If a student is tardy to school, or any of their classes, the following consequences will be implemented:

 

1st Tardy:   Warning (documented)

2nd Tardy:  Break Detention

3rd Tardy:   Break Detention

4th Tardy:   Lunch Detention (Tardy Time)

Subsequent Tardies:  Additional tardies will result in lunch detentions and possible referral to the District Attendance Liaison.  

Students are ineligible for extracurricular activities until their tardy time is made up (this includes sports activities and dances.)
