Chaparral Middle School Athletics
Chaparral Middle School is proud to offer several athletic programs for your child. After School Athletics are competitive after school sports programs for Chaparral students to represent our school in athletic competition. As a school, we are proud of our student athletes and coaches who have won a number of league championships in all sports! We are able to continue the tradition of this valuable program through the generous donations by you! Thank you to CAPA for their generous donation to our Athletics program as well as to our Community Club who has purchased team canopies, new basketball, volleyball, football, track and cross country uniforms, and league champion t-shirts for our teams! Thank you to the Walnut Valley Educational Foundation for the Transportation Grant to help with buses!
We compete in the East San Gabriel Valley Middle School League.
The league is comprised of the following 12 schools:
Chaparral, El Roble, Goddard, Las Palmas, Lone Hill, Ramona, Royal Oak, Sandburg, Sierra Vista, South Pointe, Suzanne and Traweek Middle Schools.

There has been an update to the schedule. Flag football's first game against Suzanne Middle School has been rescheduled to 11/2. It will be Flag Football only. They do not have a Volleyball team. The updated schedule has been posted below.
All volleyball teams should be enrolled in their coaches google classroom. If you do not have the class code, be sure to communicate with your coach.
XC team roster has been finalized. XC google class code lwcgqvc.
9/22 Cardinal and Gold pre-meet start time is 2:45pm for 6th graders followed by 7th and finally 8th grade. 7/8th grade start times is based on how fast 6th grade finishes. STUDENT ATHLETES CAN NOT PARTICIPATE WITHOUT BOTH PERMISSION FORMS ARE COMPLETED.
**Student athletes must complete the 2 permission forms once they have officially made the team.

ALL PRACTICES WILL TAKE PLACE AFTER SCHOOL MONDAY- THURSDAY FROM 2:15PM TO 3:30PM (NO LATER THAN 3:30). PRACTICES MAYBE CANCELLED BASED ON INCLEMENT WEATHER, STAFF MEETINGS, AND COACHES DISCRETION. THE LOCKER ROOMS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS TO USE BEFORE AND AFTER PRACTICES.
Students must maintain a 2.0 or better G.P.A. as well as a 2 or better in citizenship to be eligible to participate.
ALL AFTER SCHOOL ATHLETICS INFORMATION REGARDING SIGN UPS AND TRYOUTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY YOUR PE TEACHER DURING YOUR PE PERIOD, POSTED IN THE LOCKER ROOMS, AND ANNOUNCED DURING CCNN.
