Athletics

 
 
Chaparral Middle School is proud to offer several athletic teams that your child may choose to tryout for. Athletics is a competitive afterschool sports program for Chaparral students to represent their school in athletic competition. We compete in the East San Gabriel Valley Middle School League which is made up of the following 12 schools :
CHAPARRAL, El Roble, Goddard, Las Palmas, Lone Hill, Ramona, Royal Oak, Sandburg, Sierra Vista, South Pointe, Suzanne and Traweek Middle School.

In the fall we offer flag football, girls volleyball and boys and girls cross country.
In the winter boys and girls basketball.
In the spring track and field.
All grade levels are eligible to tryout for a team.
Students must maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. as well as good citizenship to be eligible.
 
ALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION REGARDING SIGN UPS AND TRYOUTS WILL TAKE PLACE DURING YOUR PE PERIOD.
 
THANK YOU TO ALL COUGARS WHO CAME OUT TO TRYOUT FOR A FALL SPORTS TEAM. WE HAD OVER 300 STUDENTS TRYOUT FOR VOLLEYBALL, FOOTBALL AND CROSS COUNTRY! WAY TO SHOW YOUR SCHOOL SPIRIT COUGARS!

 GOOD LUCK TO THE COUGARS WHO WILL BE PARTICIPATING AT THE MT SAC INVITATIONAL FRIDAY 10/18.                  
 
  We are able to continue the tradition of this valuable program through the generous donations by you! Thank you for all you do for our students and school!

A BIG THANK YOU to our COMMUNITY CLUB who has purchased team canopies as well as new basketball, volleyball, football, track and cross country uniforms and league champion t-shirts for our teams!
