Extra-curricular Activity Eligibility Criteria

Students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the variety of extracurricular activities offered at Chaparral. Students who maintain the following academic and behavioral criteria are eligible to participate in activities such as athletics, dances, non-academic assemblies, clubs, and other extra-curricular activities.

1. A 2.0 (C) grade point average
2. Satisfactory citizenship (students will be ineligible if three highest citizenship marks equal nine or more points)
3. Acceptable standard regarding tardies
4. No fines on text/library books

In order to attend academic field trips (including camp), students must meet eligibility requirements for citizenship.

Citizenship is based on the following formula:
No more than a total of eight points on the three highest citizenship marks.
Examples:
3+3+3=9, not eligible
3+3+2=8, eligible
4+3+2=9, not eligible
4+2+2=8, eligible
