Shallow-Virtual Choir in Google Classroom

Shallow-Virtual Choir

Submit recording of Shallow-Virtual Choir (Google Classroom)

I am asking you to record yourself singing through the entire song of Shallow with your face showing. If you do not have video capabilities you may submit an audio recording. Please submit it on google classroom on the Shallow Virtual Choir assignment. If you have trouble submitting it on google classroom you may email it to me at [email protected]. While you are singing the song you MUST be listening to the recording on google classroom so your tempo is the same as all other students as this will be put together in a virtual choir performance. Make sure you are listening to the recording with headphones while recording. I should only hear your voice in the recording you send.

Step 1: Practice Shallow until you can confidently sing through the entire song at tempo (same tempo as recordings on google classroom)

Step 2: Set up a device to record a video (audio if you do not have video capabilities) of yourself singing the song. You must include your face in the video. I recommend you sing while sitting in a chair or standing to help your posture.

Step 3: Set up a second device (or use the same device if you have the ability to record while listening to audio with headphones) and log into google classroom to listen to Shallow with headphones while singing.

Step 4: Start recording on the first device.

Step 5: Sing Shallow on the second device while listening with headphones.

Step 6: Save the movie file.

Step 7: Upload movie file (audio if you do not have video capabilities) to google classroom assignment Shallow Virtual Choir.

Lyrics

Well I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel so I tried to touch
I've told the truth I didn't come to fool ya
And even though it all went wrong,
I'll stand before the Lord of song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
