Hello Students, I will be hosting a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, 3/25/20, to conduct office hours. If you are interested in attending, it will be held from 11AM - Noon. I will send out an email with a sign-in code to your school email address between now and then. In the meanwhile, please take a look at the attached pdf for some ground rules prior to our meeting.    

Please be sure to complete your Lesson 11 vocabulary by the next time you're in class.  I have attached a copy here if you need another.  If you were absent on Thursday/Friday, you will need to make an appointment with me to make up your missed exam.  In the meanwhile, stay on top of your homework by downloading and completing the vocabulary for Lesson 11

Study for Ch. 9 and 10 exam Turn in Slide Guide with the test (slide guide will get a grade).  ' ' Be sure to complete the portions of the slide guide about the Preamble and on the backside where it said "Amendment Process" See attached document to get the notes needed for completion. 

Do not forget that you were given an extension on the quiz for the BrainPop: Constitution assignment, as you were in the behavior assembly last Wednesday.  Your quiz is due by Tuesday, 3/3/20!!!  As of now, I only see half of the class finished.

Due Tuesday - your table group will share out what your assigned amendment from the Bill of Rights is all about and tell of a famous court case in which this amendment was being challenged in court (preferably, the Supreme Court).  We will want to know what the case was about, how the judge(s) ruled, when it took place, and the title of the case (somebody vs. somebody)

1) Bring back your slide guide 2) Your slide guide should be complete for Articles 1-7 3) Read Lesson 9, Section 6 about the Amendment Process if you have not yet done so. 4) Are you someone who has not yet done Lesson 9, Section 5, Question 2??  

Complete the left/right portions of Article III - Judicial Branch Left side are the requirements; right side are the powers   Also, complete the checks and balances task in question #2 of Lesson 9, Section 5   While Open House may be over, your timeline and diorama projects are still expected to be turned in for the purpose of earning grades.

Your diorama needs to be completed by the time you enter class.  If the only thing you have left to do is glue the two "bottom" pieces together or glue the three-dimensional component, that is okay.  Your answers to who, what, when, where, why, and possibly how should already be on your tri-fold.   Also, the timeline is due on Friday.  Please do not wait until Friday to ask me procedural questions.  It is due when you walk through the door.

Far too many students did not have their minimal timeline requirements completed by class time on Friday.  I am not sure what happened?!! You will need to have your timeline completed by next Friday.     Also, Ch. 9 vocabulary is due on Tuesday.  Assignment is attached here in the event that you were absent when it was issued.   Please don't start slacking on your work.  Now is the time to buckle down, especially as our work will be ramping up!

See the Timeline Project presentation posted in your Google Classroom stream. By Wednesday, have at least two of your five points for the timeline researched.  Most likely, this will be the "When did the career/job/industry begin in the United States?"

In preparation for our debate, please have completed all of the questions for section 4 of Lesson 8. For those traveling to PALI on Monday through Wednesday, have an enjoyable, safe, and educational trip!

Complete the Timeline Challenge found between Lesson 7 and Lesson 8 of TCI. Also, do not forget that the Lesson 7 Lesson Game needs to be completed by Monday, 12/2/19. If your Lesson 7 booklet was not turned in today, be sure to have it completed to submit tomorrow.

Your Chapter 7 Study Booklet is due on Wednesday.  See your Google Classroom for directions about each page.

Complete the Lesson 07 Vocabulary. Begin memorizing the Preamble to the Constitution.

Be sure to have completed section 03 questions 1 & 2 and section 04 question 1 completed.   Period 06, I will NOT be giving you a quiz on the song from Hamilton.  I am expecting you to be more attentive in class.

No homework assigned for Monday.  If you have any late or absent work, you need to complete it by tomorrow in order to earn credit or partial credit.  After the start of the second quarter, all late/absent assignments will not be placed in the grade book.

Lesson 05 Vocabulary due.   Did you complete the Kahoot-Style Question assignment?   Remember, the quarter ends on Friday.  Any late/absent work must be in by then in order to receive credit.

Create a Kahoot-style question (multiple choice, one correct answer, three incorrect) and identify which answer is correct.  Do this based upon the section that you were assigned in class.

For your assigned section, create one Kahoot-Style question.
That means, it is a four choice multiple answer with one answer being correct.
Put a star or label by the correct answer.

Complete Lesson 04: Sections 7 and 8. On Monday, I will be collecting the grade for sections 1-8 from this lesson.     Remember, the quarter ends on 10/11 (next Friday).
